Keyboard issue?

Before iOS 8, I was quite satisfied with the performance even though not perfect.
Now, after iOS 8, there are random instances where the keyboard fails to come up.
The only thing shows is the "suggestion line".
A quick turn of the iPhone or iPad brings up the keyboard again but it is a pain in the you-know-what!.
Please fix ASAP.
